An 11 year old boy is in hospital in a critical condition after falling on a fence spine in a park. The youngster was injured whilst climbing over the fence and slipped at Heath Road Park in Heath Road, Stapenhill, Staffordshire at nearly 6pm on Tuesday.
An ambulance and the West Midlands air ambulance were called to the scene.
A member of staff from theWest Midlands Ambulance Service said: "When ambulance staff arrived, the 11-year-old boy had been lifted off the fence by members of the public. We were told that the boy had fell whilst climbing over the fence"
