Caught Red Handed

Two men were found carrying two knifes, a green garden-style hosepipe and a samurai sword.

They were planning to murder Joss Stones but were in court on Wednesday the 20th March 2013.

The weapons were found in the boot of a Fiat Punto. They stopped out side the singer's home in Devon and they also found black bags, tape and a hammer. Both men were from Manchester.

They denied plotting to rob and kill the soul singer before dumping her body in the river in 2011.

The trial mat Exeter crown court jury continues.

Catching Fire Victory Tour Posters!

Winning the games means going back to their beloved family and friends but not for long as they will soon embark on their Victory Tour, leaving the people of District 12 once again. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The 3rd Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.    The first poster shows Katniss (Jennifer Laurence) holding a bouquet of white roses (which I guess was President Snow’s choice) with Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) standing tall above her (supposedly using a platform considering the height difference).   The second poster shows them standing in the wind in front of one of the famous metallic capitol structure.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire comes out on the 22^nd November 2013.

Apple Apparently 'Less Inspiring'

According to a recent survey, Apple is considered to be 'less inspiring' than it was before, but why? Not so long ago, just before the new line-up of tech was revealed last year, Apple's market share creeped up above $700 - which was a grand record for the company. However, it has been on the decline ever since, signalling that the public are less interested. Samsung is seen as Apple's main rival and it has been trying hard to out run the guys who are the perfectionists, out there in the technology world. Apple has only just entered the small tablet market with the iPad Mini, meaning that it's following Samsung's footsteps, but Apple is the one who's supposed to "Think Different" isn't it? But let's face it, where else will we see more beautiful and more perfect engineering than in Apple's iPhones, iPads and iPods?

Many people fear that the Technology Giants have lost their spark, ever since Steve Jobs died in October 2011, leaving their products looking quite similar and maybe 'out dated'. That's what the Android lovers think, in other people's eyes Apple have been creating great products that are always years ahead of the competition. Let's take the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5 for example. The S4 has a rather dull plastic backing, while the iPhone 5 has a very modern, sleek and beautiful aluminium and glass backing, notice a difference? Yes, the S4 is considerably larger than the iPhone, but do you really want to be carrying such a big device around with you? Bearing in mind that it hardly fits into anyone's pocket. The iPhone 5 is not only incredibly thin, but very light as well; and most importantly it's not the size of a 7-inch plastic tablet. The S4's screen resolution is slightly higher, but who can even notice the minuscule difference? The iPhone has a stunning Retina display which is clear, crisp and very sharp, giving you the best experience. 'What about apps and games?' I hear you ask. The App Store has over 775,000 apps and games to download, more than 300,000 of them are specifically for the iPad. The Google Play Store only has about 675,000 apps and games available at the moment, some of which are stretched to fit the tablets.

In the final quarter of 2012, Apple sold 43.5 million iPhones, Samsung beat that amount and sold 64.5 million smartphones. That either says very little or a lot. People say that Apple is 'less inspiring' than it was 3 years ago, really? The people there have stuck to their guns, working hard even though they've lost a valued member of their team, even though they have had some tricky court battles; and even though their sales have dipped in the past few months. If that's not inspiring then I don't know what is.

Red nose day makes £75 million

Thousands of people from around the UK took part in crazy challenges for Comic Relief to raise lots of money.

This will help support projects to help children and people in some of the poorest places from around the world.

Lenny Henry who was a founder of the Red Nose day fundraiser, which is its 25th year kicked off on the live show on BBC one.

The 1D lads performed their Red Nose Day pop single 'One way or another'. Singer Jessie J shaved off all her hair for the night.

Man Breaks A New Record

53 year old man  won the Iditarod Trail in the dog sled race so he can become the oldest man to win the race of Alaska's test of endurance.

The man called Mitch Seavy and his ten dogs crossed the finish line with the crowd cheering him at 10:39pm on Tuesday.

The race was 1,000-mile race and his time was 9 days,7 hours and 39 minutes.

Mitch has now the record for the oldest man to have won the race. His son called Dallas won the race in 2012 and is the youngest man to race.

Cat In A Fox Trap

Andrew and Alison White's cat Scooter went missing and, a few days later the couple feared the worst. At 1am on march 4, their neighbours knocked on their door with bad and good news, they found Scooter but he was terribly injured.
But where the penalties harsh enough for animal cruelty?
Mr White said ' when I opened the door two of our neighbours were looking very worried, one of them had Scooter in their hands. Scooter had an almost severed back right leg, the other neighbour was holding a rusty steel jaw which was a fox trap'.
The two neighbours saw Scooter dragging himself with the rusty fox trap still attached to his leg.
Then Mr and Mrs White took took Scooter to the Mt Waverley Animal Centre, and the next day Scooter had his back right leg amputated.
The family was left with a $2600 vet bill, and then Mrs White said, that he was part of the family and they would never considered putting him down.
Mr and Mrs White rang the RSPCA and they reported the matter, but unfortunately they didn't have a name or address of where the fox trap was set, so the RSPCA couldn't do much about it.
The RSPCA see up to 100 cases of animal cruelty each year in Victoria arising from the use of traps.
The offenders face up to 12 whole months in jail and fines of up to $34,600.

Big Cats

Big cats are like cats, but just bigger and they're not pets. They like to play and drink milk, but the only thing what separates them is that big cats are wild. Tigers, leopards they're all part of the cat family, they just don't live in the same habitat, some live in jungles and some live in the snow. Tigers are endangered and a few other kinds are too. And because of that people have made adds about it, they made companies to save the big cats habitats. People cut down trees and fires start in their habitats, and that's when zoo's started to help. Zoo keepers started to take big cats out of their habitats and into the zoo. Forest fires are still around today, and big cats need help from us humans.

Cats are cute, fluffy and all those things, but wild cats are much more they are strong, dangerous, sharp clawed and all the frightening things. That's why people kill them and make them into carpets, they think that they will be more popular but they get hated by a few people in the world.

Big cats are a lot different from pet cats, and those cats are lucky to have proper home with humans looking after them.

Are Dogs Better Than Cats?

People say dogs are mans best friend, but what about women?
Well that's what cats are for, cats are women's best friend.
Dogs might be good at sensing stuff, but cats are much more, they are there when you're lonely, they purr and that makes you happy, they don't make you go outside because they want to go for a walk. Cats don't need you to go for a walk with them, they can do it by themselves, they come back for food, they never let you down. Dogs growl at you when you do something wrong, and cats scratch you for the same reason. Dogs help disabled people, cats help put a smile on your face. Dogs hurt children, cats scratch them because they want to be the centre of attention. Dogs bark if there's a burglar in the house, cats meow as loud as they can. Dogs dig in the garden, cats relax on the grass. Dogs lick their owners, cats purr to their owners.
Cats are cute animals, and dogs are helpful. Both cats and dogs are the best, non of them are better.

S4 Not Seen as Competition for the iPhone 5

Samsung recently released the new Galaxy S4, but many don't see it as being better than the iPhone 5.Samsung's new handset is its response to Apple's iPhone 5, which debuted in September 2012 and raised a lot of attention from customers. Although the S4 is a heavily polished piece of equipment, we can all say that it will never beat Apple's iPhone. Samsung's S4 has a rather dull PLASTIC backing, the iPhone 5 has an ALUMINIUM and glass backing - I think we can all see who the perfectionists are here.

An analyst stated "I expect Apple's anticipated iPhone 6 to handily outsell the Galaxy S4 when it launches this year. Apple basically have no competition out there." I think we can all agree with him on that one. Here's another statement from Brian White, Topeka Capital Markets - "One would believe that Samsung is crushing Apple in the mobile phone market. We believe this is complete nonsense." He thinks that one of the few good points about the S4 is its Super AMOLED display, which has a pixel density of 441 per inch; the iPhone 5 only has 326 pixels-per-inch and screen clarity really does matter. The rest of the S4 is characterised as heavier, fatter and less refined than Apple's iPhone 5, which is 20% lighter and 18% thinner than the iPhone 4s. Samsung only managed to trim 2% off the weight and 8% off the thickness from the predecessor.

It looks like Apple have certainly got the edge over everyone and they will always be years ahead. Others, like Samsung, have got a lot of catching up to do, not only in their materials but in their software.

Will We See an iWatch?

Many rumours are pointing towards Apple releasing an iWatch soon, but are they true? They suggest that the iWatch will take voice commands, thanks to Siri, and will be able to post Facebook statuses and tweets. The watch will have to be an intelligent piece of machinery in order to attract the attention that Apple might be hoping for. It is also rumoured that the iWatch will be able to communicate with other iDevices, but is that going a bit too far? We all love using high-tech devices and being able to keep up to date with the latest goings on, but won't that turn the 'still to be' iWatch into a much smaller version of the iPhone?

Apple haven't revealed any information yet as they like to keep things quiet, but they haven't denied the fact that there might be an iWatch coming this year, in September perhaps. Numerous rumours suggest that the iWatch will have a 1 inch retina display with multitouch capabilities, an aluminium body with a sleek finish and a clever wrist strap - also made of aluminium, or another 'space-age' material. It would be able to connect to other Apple devices via Bluetooth and connect to wi-fi networks, check the weather and maybe play a bit of music. But what about battery life? It would be nice if Apple fitted the iWatch with wireless charging, which would be similar to what Nokia are using on their phones. However, all that tech is sure to come with a hefty price tag, definitely in the region of £100 to £200. What do you think - will the iWatch even be materialised or is it just a distant dream?
