4 Year Old Boy Banned From School Because Of His Mowhalk Hair
A 4 year old boy, Kain Ball has been told he is not allowed to return to his class at Wyken Croft Primary School unless he does something with his mini mowhawk.
Kain's mum Hannah also a hairdresser has been angered by the schools decision following the hair cut last week. The head of the school dissaproves of the cut and is apparently too extreme and against the schools policy.
His mum first heard about this was when his teacher came running up to her and said that the head had a problem with his hair. She said she didn't have a problem with it herself.
"I didn't know what the problem was, so I thought I'd just leave it."
But when he went back to the school on Friday, his teacher said the head teacher said his hairstyle is too extreme and that it's against the schools policy so he can't go back on Monday unless it's cut.
"I was very shocked because I couldn't see anything wrong with it. Kain is autistic and is scared of having his hair cut. He goes into a fit. I think his hair style is smart. I'm going to stick to my guns."
Hannah went into school with Kain on Monday to speak to the headteacher Derek Gardiner, with Kain's hair unchanged.
His mum said to the head, "What's wrong with Kain's hair that you want me to change?" Then the head replied, "It's too extreme, it is against the schools policy and when Kain joined the school I signed an agreement that pupils aren't allowed to have extreme hair."
She replyed by saying: "Kain's hair's is not extreme. It would be extreme if his hair had five-inch spikes and was dyed green. I've been a hairdresser since I left school and have cut thousands of children's hair in the same style. I've asked other parents at the school and they don't think it's extreme. Even my dad, who's quite old fashioned, thinks it's stylish. I always send Kain to school in a clean uniform and looking smart. Because he's autistic, it's difficult to find anything that will make him happy. His hair makes him happy. Why should it be taken away?"
Hannah is keeping Kain off school and is going to complain to the schools governing body with the hope the decision will be overturned.
Baby Bear Rescue
There was a baby bear found in a womans garage, and it had a little bit of an attitude too!
The bear got trapped in there when the garage door closed, obviously while the baby bear was still inside. Then after a few hours the baby bears mum came and she cleverly opened the door and she growled at her cub. The cub managed to get down because he climbed down from a ladder that was on the wall.

Hail, Rain and Lightning Hits The UK!
Flash floods, heavy hail and a swarm of storms has hit the UK, making it seem like winter again!
Sadly, a man died after being swept away in the flood water yesterday. Train services have been cancelled as freak weather saw the tracks to be closed.
Northern England and Scotland have been hit the worst by battering storms that brought lightning, giant hailstones and reports of damage from tornadoes!
Lightning was filmed striking the Tyne bridge during the massive thunder storm last night. The floods this June are almost beating the floods of June 2007, which caused a monumental amount of damage to the UK. More than a thousand homes have been flooded this year caused by a months rain in just 24 hours.

Don’t Play In The Flood Water!
A flood is an overflow of
water that submerges land. The European Union Floods Directive defines a flood
as a covering by water of land not normally covered by water. Flooding may
result from the volume of water within a body of water, such as a river or lake,
which overflows or breaks levees, with the result that some of the water
escapes its usual boundaries.
A senior engineer with Flood Risk Management has warned of the dangers of playing in flood water.
In some areas of the UK, there has been some major flooding going on. You may see kids or older children playing in the water for fun. Well this is a serious announcement to those who know anybody who does this. The Flood Risk Management has announced that to avoid any kind of contact with the water.
This is because, in some areas where the flooding is bad, the water is contaminated with raw sewage! How disgusting is that!? Please don’t ignore this as this contaminated water can cause some serious damage! So please DO NOT let anybody you know play or go in the harmful water!

England V France 1-1
England drew with France during the Euro opening matches. Joleon Lescott scored for England in the first 30 minutes, kicking it past the goal keeper. Even though they were in the lead, it was only for 9 minutes, that's when France came crawling back!
The player was called Samir Nasri. There were alot more chances for both teams to score, but in the end, when the whistle blew, it seemed like a fair enough score.

Chinese Spacecraft Successfully Docks In Space!
Imagine trying to put two giant pieces of Lego together
when they're both travelling at 1000 mph!
That's what it was like for Chinese astronauts on Sunday when their spacecraft docked with another module in space. Normally dockings like this use an auto-pilot. But the team, which included China's first female astronaut, did this one manually.
The Shenzhou-9 spacecraft docked with the Tiangong-1 lab module as part of plans for China to have its own space station. The country hopes to have it built by 2020.
"It was a precise and perfect docking," said Wu Ping from China's manned space programme.

Prometheus film review
Plot - A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race. (IMBD.com)
I am a huge fan of the Alien films so couldn't wait to see Prometheus. I wanted my questions answered from the first Alien film, about what happened on the ship. But Prometheus didn't really answer my question; in fact it made more of them. This film is quite confusing and makes you want more, which is great as they are making another film. I would suggest watching the first Alien film before hand.
The things I loved about this film was the cinematic photography and the soundtrack. I watched this in 3D IMAX and it was awesome; I was on the ship with them. The film look amazing and it was great when they used some of the soundtrack from the first Alien film. The acting was very good too, you felt for the characters and believed they were real. However, I would have liked it to be an 18 rated film as the rest of the Alien films are, and I wanted it to be more scary. But the main thing I didn't like about this film is that Alien isn't really in it and I'm missing him. But hopefully he'll be in the next film.

Google TV?!
Sony and Google have announced that they have released Google's interactive TV service outside the US for the very first time. The set-top box allows the user to browse the Internet through their TV, as well as access to a range of applications, specially designed for the television. The device will cost about £200 when it is released in July and will be competing with Apple TV, which is currently available fore £99. "Entertainment content is available through so many channels and sites, and
Google TV helps consumers easily find what they want to watch, listen to or play
with the freedom of the Internet and using the familiar Chrome search engine
technology," said Gildas Pelliet, Sony's European head of marketing. Shortly after this version, a Blu-ray version will be made at a cost of about £300, it will be launched later in the year. The box device will be controlled by a dual-sided remote and a full QWERTY keyboard. Looks like Apple have more competition to deal with.

England v Italy
In the first half the ball was being passed mostly between Italians; with the occasional English touch. The we're no goals scored in the first 45 minutes, there weren't any in the second either. However, England were keeping the possession for longer and having more and more scoring opportunities. Eventually, the game had to continue in extra time.
England had a few close shaves, with Joe Hart making sure that none of them ended up in the back of his net. But the game had to end in a penalty shoot out. Balotelli and Gerrard both scored for their team, Montolivo didn't have any luck, Rooney and Pirlo scored the next ones. Ashley Young's shot hit the top bar, Nocerino scored for Italy and Ashley Cole's shot was saved. If Italy scored this time, they would be through to the semi finals. England haven't really got a good reputation for winning penalty shoot outs, and they weren't going to change that today. Diamanti scored the final goal of the game. Italy are through to the semi finals were they will play against Germany, Portugal will play against Spain.
There were no yellow cards for England.

Barzagli, Maggio
Subs for England:
Welbeck ~ Carroll
Milner ~ Walcott
Parker ~ Henderson

A Hamster called Toffee has made herself at home in her owner’s doll’s house.

Liberty says: “She ran up and down the stairs and went and sat in the bath. She even did a wee in there, so we think she is toilet training herself.”
Toffee happily sits on the bed and even stands on her back legs at the sink.
Liberty says: “Toffee thinks the doll’s house is her own house. I have to put her back in her cage to sleep, but when I am home and playing with her we have a great time in the doll’s house!”
Students Make dress Out Of Maths Homework!
A student in Canada has made her formal graduation dress using her old maths homework.
The 17-year-old used 75 pieces of homework, plus an assortment of neon Post-It notes to make her dress.
She started making the dress in March but only finished last week, just before her graduation.
Her best friend joined in the creative task and also made her own dress, using recycled plastic bags.
I think that the Students and Teachers at the collage will be shocked and amazed by these creative dresses.
