The battle between Apple and Samsung has been raging on for more than a year. The latest dispute seemed to be about Samsung's Galaxy Tab infringing Apple's patent. As many of you might have seen, the Galaxy Tab is basically the same as the iPad; and you can hardly tell them apart. But, of course Apple's device looks much better.
Unfortunately for Apple, the UK court stated that Samsung did not infringe their design. Therefore, the tech giants have been forced into putting this statement on their UK site; and writing adverts in national newspapers. However, the judge said that Apple's iPad has a cool design and the Galaxy tab isn't as cool. So, everyone knows what this means; Apple is still favoured by most people; giving them the edge over rivals Samsung in the ever growing world of technology. No one knows what Samsung will do next to raise Apple's temper, but we are looking forward to the next few years.

Shark Falls From The Sky.
A shark appeared to fall from the sky which shocked most golfers in California when it fell in front of them.
When i say appeared i mean that a bird had caught it and was flying away with it when it dropped the half-meter long shark onto the golf course much to the surprise of the golfers.
Someone at the golf course then picked up the shark, put it in the back of a golf buggy then drove to the sea to put it back to safety.
At first the shark wouldn't move but then it flipped over and swam off.

Olympic Medals Stolen
Two team GB bronze medals have been stolen.
This happened hours after being at a Buckingham palace reception with the Queen. Bronze medallist and rower Alex Partridge and hockey player Hannah McLeod were celebrating the victory of winning a their medals. They realised in the early hours Wednesday morning that the medals had gone. Alex had told BBC sport that it's very very devastating and would love to get his prise possession back safely to him. Also Hannah had said that she doesn't want anyone to be punished, all that she wants is her medal to be returned back to her but wants it to be anonymous so she won't know who it was and that if they were good friends then they can stay good friends.
There seems to have been CCTV footage that the pair have seen and there might be a connection to where the medals maybe. Alexs medal seemed to have been inside his blazer when it had gone missing. For more information on this matter visit http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/20078041.

Halloween Is On Its Way!
Halloween, also known as All Hallows' Eve, is a yearly holiday observed around the world on October 31st. Most scholars believe that All Hallows' Eve was originally influenced by western European harvest festivals and festivals of the dead with pagan roots.
Typical Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, attending costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films.
We all know that next week is Halloween! Some of us maybe excited about going trick-or-treating this year for sweets/confectionary however there are people who don’t enjoy Halloween as much as us kids. We kids never miss out a chance to collect a bag of sweets by saying: “Trick-or-treat” as somebodies door step, and some of us may spend hours and hours out at night collecting the yummy treats for free.
But there are the people out there who hate Halloween. People may hate Halloween because they might dislike kids constantly arriving at their door every minute and disturbing what they are doing. But they may also not like it because they don’t believe that Halloween is something to celebrate/take part in as they think it is a waste of time or simply because of their religion/beliefs.
But what do you think? Do you like Halloween? And what are you doing this year to celebrate it?

The iPad Mini is Finally Here
One of the most anticipated devices is finally here, the iPad Mini. In black and white. As you might have guessed, it is smaller than the previous models but it has nothing less to it. With it's new 7.9 inch display and it's fantastic 1024 x 768 screen resolution, gaming will be out-of-this-world. It is only 7.2mm thick, 23% thinner than the iPad; and it weighs an astonishing 308 grams! 53% lighter than the iPad. All of this means that you will be able to hold the device in your hand with ease and stash it in your smallest bag; without giving it a second thought.
All of the built in apps are still there. The amazing Siri, Newsstand, Mail, iMessage and everything else that will be very useful when you're on the go. The iPad Mini most certainly doesn't disappoint with it's performance. Playing games, like Real Racing 2, is now smoother and faster, and most important of all, safer than the real thing. The tablet contains a powerful A5 chip, although people did want an A6 chip in there. A tablet isn't a tablet without a respectable battery life. Apple's new device doesn't let you down with that; as it still holds an impressive 10 hours of battery life. The web browsing experience will be miles better with advanced and faster wi-fi technology. However, if you are in a place where wi-fi is not available, you can always choose to turn on the cellular connection, so you're always connected and up to date; wherever you are. The iPad Mini has a 5MP iSight camera; 1080p HD video recording and a HD FaceTime front facing camera. There are over 275,000 apps available for the iPad Mini from the App Store, including Angry Birds, Temple Run and Cut The Rope. Of course, an Apple device would never be complete without a Lightening connector, it doesn't matter which way you put it in, it will always fit.
Apple have succeeded yet again with another of their high-tech devices. If you want to own an iPad Mini then you will have to let go of £269 for the 16GB model, £349 for the 32GB model or £429 for the 64GB model. How high will the sales be? Will this be the king of the small tablet market? We will have to wait a few days until we find out.

A Granny On A Scooter Becomes An Online Star!
A 74-year old granny has recently become an online sensation after being recorded going to the shops on a scooter.
There have been reports that she regularly takes a whiz on her fold-able scooter down the pavements of Perth, Scotland. She is also claimed to hold a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle when she rides her scooter.
The famous scooter gran, Mrs Roerig, now has thousands of Facebook fans following the video posted on the most commonly used video site, YouTube.
She has told people that she uses the scooter as she's found out its a good cure for her 'sore knees.'
"I saw staff at Oslo airport using one of these scooters to carry things, and I bought one from a shop in Perth for myself," she said...
"I get a lot of waves from young men, which I enjoy very much, and people yelling out to me from their cars, I go along Tay Street a lot and the skateboarders come past me and they all know me and treat me like one of them. They think I am pretty cool." She also said.

Rumours Of Who's Appearing On “I’m A Celebrity 2012!”
I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here is a reality television game show series in which 8 to 15 celebrities live together in a jungle environment for a few weeks. They have no luxuries, and compete to be crowned king or queen of the jungle. The first episode aired in 2002 and is now about to start its 12th series in the United Kingdom!
I’m sure we all can’t wait until the next series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here finally starts on ITV1 and there have been plenty of rumours about which celebrities will be on it this year...
The most recent
rumour has been that Helen Flanagan is set to appear on the show as she
addresses reports. Helen also told The Sun that the series would be a ‘daunting
project’ for her fears. “It
would be a daunting prospect as I’m very scared of heights and it would be a
real challenge, I think it’s something you
would have to really think about before agreeing to do.”
Some
other rumours of the celebrities appearing on the show are; singer Grace Jones,
darts champion Eric Bristow and Birds of a Feather star Linda Robson. However
the bosses this year said that they are keen to get some Olympic stars on the
show too! They said that they would love former cycling champs Bradley Wiggins
and Elizabeth Armitstead, as well as gymnast champ Beth Tweddle and swimmer
Rebecca Adlington to appear on the show too! But yet another rumour is that
Eastenders star Ricky Groves has somehow been linked to I’m A Celebrity 2012 as
well.
Furthermore,
The Sun reported this week that the actor, (who played Garry Hobbs in the BBC
One Series) has been approached to take part in the upcoming series. However, a
more recent rumour is that Former What Not To Wear presenters Trinny and
Susannah will be heading Down Under to take part in the new series. A source
has told a newspaper: “It will be great watching Trinny and Susannah trying to
slum it in the jungle. They are both strong and opinionated women and they’re bound
to ruffle a lot of feathers.”
Don’t get your hopes up too soon as all can change very quickly, these are just rumours so you never know what will happen... But will any of these rumours come true? All will be revealed soon...
