261 Schools Given Funding

A total of 261 schools in England have been told they're getting money to repair or rebuild their old buildings. The government has announced which schools are being part of £2 billion that was set aside.
But 326 schools were not included in the Priority School Building Programme.

The previous government had promised to rebuild every secondary school in England. But the new government cancelled it, saying it was too expensive.
The discontinued Building Schools for the Future programme was expected to cost around £55 billion!

The government said some schools that didn't get money may still get work done using other funds.
