A lollipop is a type of sweet
consisting mainly of hardened, flavored sucrose with corn syrup mounted on a
stick and intended for sucking or licking. Lollipops are available in many
different shapes, sizes and flavors!
I’m sure we have all had or at least seen some kind of lollipop. And most kids love the things! But just think about the last time you had a lollipop. Was it just a small one wrapped up in some kind of foil material? Well, what would you say to a lollipop that is probably 100 times the size of a basic sized lollipop!?
Well, See’s Candies in America have just broken the Guinness World Record for the largest lollipop! How cool is that!? The massive chocolate lollipop weighs an astonishing 7,000 pounds and is currently displayed in San Francisco! This lollipop was made to celebrate National Lollipop Day on Friday the 20th of July.
The company’s CEO Brad Kinstler said: “We are so pleased to have created a larger than life version of our favourite candy-on-a-stick.”
Sadly though, nobody will get the chance to taste the magnificent lolly as it is due to be recycled into other sweet treats!
