Voting For China’s New President

China (officially the People's Republic of China) is a country in East Asia. It is the world's most populous country, with a population of over 1.3 billion. Covering approximately 9.6 million square kilometres, the country is the world's second-largest country by land area,  and the third- or fourth-largest by total area, depending on the definition of total area.

On Thursday the 8th of November 2012, a new president for China will be chosen. Believe it or not, China hasn’t had a president for 10 years now and this one will be their first new president since that time. There will not be an election, like here in the UK and the USA. Instead China’s ruling Communist Party, who have been in power for 35 years now, will officially choose a new leader for China.

So who ever China’s new leader is, depends on what China’s ruling Communist Party choose. Let’s hope they choose wisely, and get someone who is right for the job!
