Fireworks are types of explosive devices that are used for aesthetic and
entertainment. The most common use of a firework is in a firework
display. A fireworks event is a display of the effects produced by fireworks. Fireworks take many forms to produce the four primary effects: noise,
light, smoke and floating materials. They may be designed to burn with flames
and sparks of many colors, typically red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple,
and silver. However fireworks can sometimes lead to life threatening injuries
and consequences if not handled correctly as you are about to find out...
Not long ago, two young boys, 10
year old Dale and his friend were outside playing with a firework when it all suddenly
ended horrifically.
When they were handling it, all
of a sudden it exploded and seriously injured them both. A lesson to be learnt.
Dale’s family published a photo on Dale in hospital, showing his injuries so a
vital lesson can be learnt to ALWAYS handle fireworks with extreme caution and
to always make sure you are with an responsible adult and to make sure you know
exactly what you are doing at all times. This was also to warn other children
of the consequences of playing with fireworks in an un-appropriate and
dangerous way.

<--- As you can see there is a mask on his face, this was put on him to protect his injuries.
However, it is not yet known how
these two young boys got hold of this active and dangerous firework as fireworks were not on sale in the area, so how they managed to get hold of
it is still a mystery.
This is a serious wake up call to everybody in
the world as this clearly shows what the ending result can be if you handle
these explosive devices in the wrong manner. Furthermore it is illegal for
anybody under the age of 18 to purchase any kind of firework and if you want to
know how to keep yourself and others safe around fireworks then check out this
useful guide... http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/15357129
