Obama's Victory Tweet Becomes the Most Popular Tweet Ever!

Obama posted a message on twitter about his victory of being re-elected as the US President and it became the most popular tweet ever!

His twitter followers retweeted him half a million times after tweeting "Four More Years" and a picture of him and his wife (attached.)

His tweet overtook Justin Bieber's tweet and his tweet became the most popular ever!

He also thanked his followers in a previous tweet, he said: "This happened because of you. Thank you."

The 2012 election has been a huge impact on twitter as it has been used to help both Democrats and Republicans in their campaign. Their Facebook accounts have also played a big role in helping them get the public out to vote for them.

Rob Johnson, campaign manager for Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry's failed presidential run, said Twitter had changed the future of electioneering.

He said " Twitter changed the dynamic this cycle and will continue to play a bigger role in years to come".

"We no longer click refresh on websites or wait for the paper boy to throw the news on our porch," Mr Johnson said. "We go to Twitter and learn the facts before others read it."
