The US boys finally agreed to change their name even though they claim, they had the name, One Direction first. Earlier this year the group challenged the X Factor stars and warned them, the name One Direction was already taken. In the end the US punk boy band came to a decision and have now changed their name to Uncharted Shores. The American group said that they had received hate mail from fans of the UK band. Simon Cowell's entertainment company thought that the boys were trying to make money from the UK band's success.
Both groups now say they are happy with the outcome. Now the teen superstars can concentrate on this weekend's MTV VMA awards in Los Angeles.
