Apple Approved 1 Million Apps
Apple's App Store is full of great apps and games, used for both entertainment and education; the best thing is that most of them are free. Up until today the tech giants have approved over one million apps for the store, 158,848 of these were gaming apps, 493,298 app submissions were made for paid apps. More than 736,000 of these app submissions are now available in the App Store, many of the apps were taken down by the creators or because of copyright. Of course, without the developers Apple wouldn't have achieved such a high number so quickly, they have been at it since 2008, a year later after the first iPhone was released. In 2009 the number of apps in the App Store was roughly about 100,000.
Google have passed the 700,000 mark last month, putting them in line with Apple. In the App Store, 250,000 apps have been developed and approved for the iPad itself, which is a staggering amount. Apple have been growing and growing over the last couple of years, gathering more interest from the public and manufacturing better products. Who knows what they'll be up to in a few years time?
