Sheep Race Held.

A town in Scotland has held its first ever sheep race.

Dumfriesshire locals and sheep fans lined the streets of Moffat to watch the race. Bets were capped at £1 a bet to keep the event lighthearted. The sheep raced the streets with knitted “jockeys” strapped to their backs.

It is believed the event is the first to be held on public streets in Scotland. Organiser Thomas MacDonald hopes that it will become an annual event.
