BGT backs down in battle with The Voice

Saturday nights television has become very interesting and exciting. This is because Britains Got Talent is back but this time it's followed by a new program named The Voice.

BGT (Britain's Got Talent) is a British television talent show competition which started in June 2007.  The show is broadcast on ITV and has millions of people around the world who watch it. Anyone at any age with an amazing talent can audition for the show.  Acts will compete against each other in order to gain the audience support while trying to win the title of "The winner of Britain's Got Talent".

The Voice is a singing competition, simalar to the X factor. The first is the blind audition, in which four coaches, Will.i.am, Jessie J, Danny and Tom Bowers listen to contenders without seeing them and if they like what they hear, they turn their chair around. If more than one coach turn around the artist chooses the coach he or she would like to work with.

Has Simon Cowell admitted defeat in the battle of the Saturday night talent shows?

Simon Cowells show Britain's Got Talent is moving its time slot to avoid being on at the same time as The Voice.
It comes after The Voice racked up more viewers overall and importantly during the 20 minutes the two shows clash.

From 21 April, ITV say that Britain's Got Talent will be moved to a slightly later slot so there is no overlap with the BBC show.
