The iPad Mini is Finally Here

One of the most anticipated devices is finally here, the iPad Mini. In black and white. As you might have guessed, it is smaller than the previous models but it has nothing less to it. With it's new 7.9 inch display and it's fantastic 1024 x 768 screen resolution, gaming will be out-of-this-world. It is only 7.2mm thick, 23% thinner than the iPad; and it weighs an astonishing 308 grams! 53% lighter than the iPad. All of this means that you will be able to hold the device in your hand with ease and stash it in your smallest bag; without giving it a second thought.

All of the built in apps are still there. The amazing Siri, Newsstand, Mail, iMessage and everything else that will be very useful when you're on the go. The iPad Mini most certainly doesn't disappoint with it's performance. Playing games, like Real Racing 2, is now smoother and faster, and most important of all, safer than the real thing. The tablet contains a powerful A5 chip, although people did want an A6 chip in there. A tablet isn't a tablet without  a respectable battery life. Apple's new device doesn't let you down with that; as it still holds an impressive 10 hours of battery life. The web browsing experience will be miles better with advanced and faster wi-fi technology. However, if you are in a place where wi-fi is not available, you can always choose to turn on the cellular connection, so you're always connected and up to date; wherever you are. The iPad Mini has a 5MP iSight camera; 1080p HD video recording and a HD FaceTime front facing camera. There are over 275,000 apps available for the iPad Mini from the App Store, including Angry Birds, Temple Run and Cut The Rope. Of course, an Apple device would never be complete without a Lightening connector, it doesn't matter which way you put it in, it will always fit.

Apple have succeeded yet again with another of their high-tech devices. If you want to own an iPad Mini then you will have to let go of £269 for the 16GB model, £349 for the 32GB model or £429 for the 64GB model. How high will the sales be? Will this be the king of the small tablet market? We will have to wait a few days until we find out.
