Google TV?!

Sony and Google have announced that they have released Google's interactive TV service outside the US for the very first time. The set-top box allows the user to browse the Internet through their TV, as well as access to a range of applications, specially designed for the television. The device will cost about £200 when it is released in July and will be competing with Apple TV, which is currently available fore £99. "Entertainment content is available through so many channels and sites, and Google TV helps consumers easily find what they want to watch, listen to or play with the freedom of the Internet and using the familiar Chrome search engine technology," said Gildas Pelliet, Sony's European head of marketing. Shortly after this version, a Blu-ray version will be made at a cost of about £300, it will be launched later in the year. The box device will be controlled by a dual-sided remote and a full QWERTY keyboard. Looks like Apple have more competition to deal with.
