Football vs Rugby

Football refers to a number of sports that involve, to some extent, kicking a ball with your foot to score a goal. There are lots of different types of football such as American football, Australian rules football, Canadian football, Gaelic football, and other related games. These variations of football are known as football codes.

Rugby on the other hand is where you have to run across th opponent's tri line without being tackled. You yourself have to take it across the line. It cannot be just thrown over the line without someone catching it. The aim is too get as many tris at the end of the match.

Most people know that football matches last 90 minutes (without added injury time) but not many know that a rugby match lasts 80 minutes. Many people can name many famous football players like David Beckham, Mario Ballotelli and Wayne Rooney but I bet hardly any of you have ever heard of Kris Smith, Gareth Barber or Al Baxter.

Just to prove how much you know about rugby here is a small quiz!

1. Which number shirt does a full-back wear?
2. How many metres must the ball travel from a kick off?
3. How many people from each side can take part in a scrum?

1.15
2.At least 10m!
3.8
