Apple's Friday Shopping Event

Apple have revealed that there will be a one-day only shopping event on Black Friday, the 23rd of November. This will draw a lot of customers into Apple's stores and sales will hopefully increase; many people think that prices will be lowered, however, this may just be an untrue rumour. According to the latest statistics, Apple stores generate more sales than any other shopping chain in the world.

Most shops in malls open at midnight on Black Friday, but Apple say that theirs won't. This means that the shops will be very crowded, but will generate a lot of sales. If you want to do your Christmas shop at Apple, Friday is the best day for it and the prices may be lower.

Festive Cheer? Not so sure...

If you'd just reluctantly handed over 26,774 of your hard-earned British pounds to light up your town in festive cheer, you would expect the things to work when you switced them on. Residents of Aylesbury were rather unimpressed when faulty lights left Santa with no face, Rudolph with one antler and the entire town looking rather neglected.

The lights have been described as scary rather than cheerful. One counciller mentioned that "the lights look like a mere afterthought, and look as though they have been used, year by year, without any attention given to how they look". Maybe next Christmas? Or maybe not...
