Bombing At Boston Marathon

Two explosions went off yesterday at the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three people and leaving over one hundred and forty people injured.

President Barrack Obama said whoever was responsible for the attack will be found, he said "We will find out who did this and they will feel the full weight of justice."

Security has increased throughout Boston and every major city in the country.

Attacks like these are incredibly rare, the Boston Marathon is one of the biggest major marathons and security is very tight.

Around twenty three thousand runners took part this year, and the race is watched by thousands of people across the city. This came as a shock to many people across the globe.

Stories of heroism are beginning to emerge, over hundreds of runners that took part that survived the blast were phoning up local hospitals and offering blood to those that were in need. "People were sharing phones to make the offer- as many didn't take their phones to the race" said a British runner who finished before the initial blast.

Boston police are working around the clock to find out what happened. One person has been arrested in connection to the bombings and a police officer has been killed.

Security measures have been increased in London for the marathon coming soon.
