The
Queen (Queen Elizabeth II) was due to
attend a public event at Westminster Abbey. Her Majesty was due to attend a
special event which celebrated Commonwealth Day however the majesty sadly wasn’t
able to do so after recovering from a recent illness she had come down with.
It was 10
years ago since the Queen went to hospital but last week she was admitted to
the hospital after suffering from the symptoms of Gastroenteritis.
Gastroenteritis is caused by inflammation of the gastrointestinal
tract that involves the stomach and the small intestine which can result in a combination
of diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain and cramping.
Obviously because of this the Queen will not be attending
the event, but The Duke Of Edinburgh will be as planned. On the other hand, the
Queen is thought to attend a reception on Monday evening.
