A man called Vladimir Umanets has admitted writing his name and a message on the corner of the Mark Rothko painting. He visited the Gallery on Sunday and saw his chance to leave his mark on the famous painting. The painting called Black Oh Maroon was on display at the Tate Modern gallery in London when observers spotted the man writing on the corner. The gallery managers have said that they hope the writing will come off as it is a very special and valuable painting.
