Atomic Bomb Site To Soon Be Open To Tourists
China officials have said that they are planning to turn an Atomic Bomb testing site into a tourist attraction.
Around 6m yuan, £595,000, is to be spent on the site in the northwest of China, said Xinhau news agency. The project is to be carried out by the Beijing university, Tsinghua University, and the local government.Visitors will apparently be able to visit the laboratories and dormitories
scientists used, while a 300-metre anti-air strike tunnel has also been
earmarked for renovation and display.
