The Olympics 2012 Has Come To A Close For Yet Another 4 Years!

London was proud and honoured to welcome the Olympics again to our country. It didn’t seem 2 minutes ago since the Olympics Opening Ceremony and now the Olympics Closing Ceremony has just ended to finish off what has been such an amazing 3 weeks of many different types of sport.

Since 9:30pm until 11:30pm on BBC 1, the eyes of the world were fixed onto the TV to watch the spectacular Closing Ceremony of the Olympics 2012. The first time you will ever get to see all the athletes of all the countries gather together to celebrate what has been a remarkable and mind blowing experience.

The Closing Ceremony featured more than 4,100 performers, including 3,500 adult volunteers and 380 school children from the six east London Host Boroughs, the Ceremony showcased the great creative talent of the UK in a fun, colourful and festive atmosphere. The Ceremony started of an introduction of a daily life in London, the athletes then entered and the volunteers were thanked. There was ‘A Symphony of British Music’ to celebrate the fact that music has been one of Britain’s strongest cultural exports of the last 50 years.
At the end of the Ceremony, there was a handover to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympic Games, and the Olympic Flame was extinguished, signalling the end of the Olympic Games.
