Record Breaking Fish And Chips For War Hero.

A record breaking cod and chips has been made to raise money  for Ben Parkinson's charity, and after he sampled the Record Breaking meal, which weighed 97lbs!!!

Martin Bilby, owner of a Doncaster chippy, decided to claim back the world record from the Americans for the British classic, Cod and Chips. Paratrooper and Olympic Torch Bearer Ben Parkinson , aged 27, who lost both legs from below the knee's and suffered skull fractures in a Taliban blast, decided to support the Guinness World Record attempt in order to raise money for his charity, the Pilgrim Bandits. The Cod and Chips managed to beat the previous record by a whopping 20lbs!!!

In order to make it they had to buy a bigger deep fat fryer and they used two new garden forks to lift it out. It took two men to lift it and two me to hold the tray it was later sat on, and accompanied with a huge amount of hot chips. The fish would make about 50 normal servings but if it was to be sold as it is, it would have cost a massive £300!!Ben, who has worked hard to get back some of his speech, was the first person to sample the meal and said it was “very, very nice.”
