American Hero, Neil Armstrong, Dies.

At the age of 82, American hero, Neil Armstrong dies from complications following a heart surgery

He first step foot on the moon on the 20th July 1969 and said 'One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind', a quote that became quickly famous. Neil received the Congressional Gold Medal, which is the highest US civilian award, last November. He was the commander of Apollo 11 craft,which 500 million people watched descend onto the moon. Both him and a fellow astronaught, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, spent nearly 3 hours, walking across the moon.
Mr Aldrin told the press that 'He is deeply saddend by the death of his friend and crew mate and is even more upset by the fact that he wont be able to celebrate the 50th annaversery of the landing in 2019'. Born in Ohio in 1930, Armstrong took his first flight aged six with his father and formed a lifelong passion for flying. But Apollo 11 was his last mission and he left NASA in 1971 to teach aerospace engineering.
