The Queen's Thanks

Queen Elizabeth II was born on the 21^st of April 1926. She is the constitutional monarch of 16 sovereign states known as the Commonwealth realms, and head of the 54-member Commonwealth of Nations. She is also head of state of the Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories.

The Queen herself has recorded a special speech thanking the public for her Jubilee celebrations. The speech was filmed at Buckingham Palace and was on TV last night for people to watch. Her majesty said “It has touched me deeply to see so many thousands of families, neighbours and friends celebrating together in such a happy atmosphere”.
