For many years scientists have been digging up fossils of ancient animals, like the dinosaurs.In Chile, palientologists have unearthed a large haul of ancient whale fossils, with all the bones still in their place. These fossils date back to over 7 million years ago.
A researcher said that they have found over 15 intact whale fossils in 15 days; thats higher than they expected. A lot of seal, shark and dolphin bones were also found. This discovery will help scientists find out about how these sea creatures lived at that time and how they were adapted to their environment.
