Facebook

Facebook is a social networking service that lets you connect with friends and others who share similar interests aswell as common backgrounds. Many people use it as a way to share their life publicly or as a way to stay in touch after finishing school. Facebook has been called the "thinking person's" social network. Compared to many other social networks, Facebook gets new features and improvements on a regular basis. What makes Facebook different from other social networks are its development platform, its large, extensive privacy controls and quickly growing user base.

Privacy...
Privacy is one of the key differences of Facebook from other social networking services. Facebook gives you the option to control what others see, right down to individual photo albums, or various pieces of personal information such as your address, phone number, and screen name on instant messaging services. BUT Facebook has a great setting where only your friends can view these things, unless you don't set it up correctly.

Poking...
Newcomers to Facebook might be a little alarmed at the poking system, but don't be scared. The poke is a subtle way of saying hello to someone you know or in some cases don't know. If someone pokes you, you can either poke them back or ignore it! (In some cases things with friends can lead to poke wars).

You can also write statuses on facebook, whether it's what your doing at that moment of time or whether it's just to get laughs. Here is examples of statuses...

I’m only crazy when other people cant stand that I’m right!
I hope life isn’t a big joke, because I don’t get it.
Just got back from a great time at skating.

Get involved in games and many more at www.facebook.com
I'll let you figure the rest out.
Remember stay safe and sort your privacy settings out!
