David Beckham Is Retiring!

David BeckhamDavid Beckham has announced that he will be retiring from professional football at the end of the season!

David Beckham was born on the 2nd of May 1975 in London. David is a professional football player who has played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, Los Angeles Galaxy, French Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain and the England national team, in which he holds the appearance record for an outfield player. Beckham is also the former captain for the England team and is currently playing for the French Champions PSG.

Not so long ago, David Beckham announced to the world that he will be retiring from his job as a professional football player! David has been an inspiration for millions of people out there whose dreams are to become a football player just like David, and I am sure that he will be missed by millions more people as well. Not only has David become a world-wide footballer on the pitch, David has also been seen on several adverts such as the Sainsbury’s advert: ‘Get Active’ where their aim is to get more kids up and active on their feet instead of being sat in their rooms on laptops, phones and other types of electrical equipment.

Beckham recently said: "I'm thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue but I feel now is the right time to finish my career."

David will be deeply missed. He has been a role model for millions of possible future football stars out there and has inspired more people than you could count to get active!

Should kids be allowed on Britains Got Talent?

The Strictly Come Dancing host Bruce Forsyth told newspapers that the program put children in a situation called 'ordal'. It ends up making them cry.

He said " I don't think that it is entertainment and they should not let children that are too young on the show."

He is being backed up by a charity that help to protect children when they are on TV.

Safermedia's co-chair said that talent shows take to many risks with children's emotional well beings.

She also said"It isn't very helpful that children and adults are competing against each other". She added "It would never happen in any other field."

The charity is calling a ban for children under the age of 16 taking part in talent shows.

iPhone Retains More Value Than Top Galaxy Models

A recent study has revealed that iPhones retain more value than the top Samsung Galaxy models. Samsung is supposed to be more and more popular everyday, therefore gaining marketshare and retaining it's important reputation for being so great at making new smartphones. But is it? The report actually shows that the iPhone is considered to be the most valuable phone out there.

The iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (all of them used, not new) were compared in the recent report, which shows US eBay auction prices for these smartphones. Piper Jaffrey analyst Gene Munster, who comducted the research, wrote "The key takeaway from 8 weeks of data is that the iPhone is holding slightly more of its value compared to the top two Galaxy phones." In the picture above you can see that the iPhone 4S lost only 7% of its value in the past two months, the iPhone 4 lost about 8.8% and the iPhone 5 was deprived of only 11%. It's a different story with Samsung . The S3 is currently auctioned at 13.9% less than its original value and the Galaxy Note 2 comes in at a staggering 15% below its actual selling price. These figures might not sound that bad but believe me, they're important for the sellers; who want to get the highest amount of money for their phones...

Plans to Expand The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter

In December 2011, Universal Parks and Resorts announced to build an extension to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

In addition to Hogsmeade and Hogwarts, the plans will add Diagon Alley and Gringotts Bank to the park, Gringotts will feature a ride that will replicate the adventure Harry, Ron and Hermione took to break in to steal a Horcrux deep in the bowels of the Lestrange vault in the Deathly Hallows. Guests will be able to take the Hogwarts express to other parts of the Islands of Adventure.

The new extension is expected to open in 2014.

Free Wifi In Railway Stations

Free Wi-Fi access is to be introduced at 25 of the busiest railway stations by the middle of next year.

The move is the latest stage in the Scottish Government’s plan to ensure travellers have free , wireless internet across the rail network by 2019.They have provided £250,000 to fit Wi-Fi at the stations. For the train Wi-Fi, an Ethernet “backbone” is fitted to the trains, with a router mounted in the roof space close to the antennae. Inter vehicle “jumpers” are then used to allow internet access in all carriages.
