Portugal v Holland

Holland started the game very strongly, keeping the ball when they had a chance to. It paid off when Van Der Vaart took a shot from just outside of the box. 1-0 to Holland in the 11th minute, Portugal weren't very happy. However, Portugal took hold of the possession, Ronaldo was passed the ball. He took a shot from inside the box and it went passed the goalkeeper. Was it a goal? Of course it was! All those missed shots finally became a goal in the 28th minute.

In the second half Hollands standard of play dropped severely and they suffered another goal against them. Ronaldo scored a smashing goal, 74 minutes into the game putting Portugal in the lead. The game went on without any luck for Holland and Portugal snatched a well deserved win, going through to the quarter finals. The final score was 2-1 to Portugal.
