England draw against France in Opening Match Of Euors 2012

England's Joleon Lescott scores the opening goal past France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
In England's opening match of Euro 2012 they drew against France 1-1. After 30 minutes Joleon Lescott scored from a great pass by Steven Gerrard. They were only in the lead for 9 minutes until France player Samir Nasri match their score. There were a few more chances for both teams to pull ahead but were saved by the goalkeepers.
As the scores didn't shift at the end 3 minutes of extra time were added on.
Both teams were satisfied with the result.
"Of course we went into the game to try and to win it," Gerrard said. "But I think if you start a competition and put a point on the board against a good side like France, we're quite happy."

Be sure to watch England's next match on Friday against Sweden.
