Kittens found with 18 extra toes!

Not so long ago it was found that 2 kittens had been born with slightly unusual feet...
Now I'm sure all of you know that cats USUALLY have 5 toes on their front paws and normally 4 toes on their back. But having extra toes is definately unusual... But this pair of kittens have a lot to impress as amazingly the pair of them together have a whopping 18 extra toes! The 2 kittens names are Ned and Fred, Ned has 8 extra toes... However Fred has an astonishing 10 extra toes! And because of their strange condition, the kittens have been handed over to a cats rescue centre in Hampshire.
Sadly, when these cats were found they were in poor condition , but luckily they are now on the mend and will be given new homes in about 2 weeks time.
Having extra toes/fingers is called Polydactyl. A strange name for a disease... This usually means having 1/2/3 extra toes/fingers but in this case its a different story...
Having extra toes doesn't affect the cats health, and now Ned and Fred are on the mend and they should go on to lead healthy and happy lives!
