children's christmas boxes!

Fill a child's life with joy this christmas.

Last chance to get a shoe box finished or even donate £2.50 (its as simple as that). Just one shoe box will change one unlucky persons christmas. Last year almost 1.2 million shoeboxes was filled with little goodies and small gifts from the UK, it would be an amazing achievement if we could overtop this. These shoe boxes are sent to some of the toughest places in the world!

Last year a little girl at the age of 6 recived a shoebox, for her family to see her open this, it was amazing. The girl used to have to move from hostel to hostel until the Government eventually found a flat for her, her mum and dad and also her 6 other brothers/sisters to live in. All she could say was "Thank you so very much! These gifts are wonderful." This is the power of a simple gift.

It is unbelivelbly easy to make a shoe box....

Obvioulsy first of all you have to find an empty shoe box, wrap it in christmas paper but you must remember to wrap the lid and the box seperatly.
Next you decide if you are going to make your genours box for a girl or a boy and choose what age you are going to be doing it for, it can be either 2-4 years, 5-9 years or 10-14 years. Finally you add your gifts.

please put some of these types of things into your box: (for example)
toys-bears, soft toys, tennis balls, jigsaws and yo-yo, etc.
Educational supplies- pens, pencils, notepad, stickers, etc.
Hygiene items- toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, bar of soap, etc.
Other items- sweets (sell-by date to be at least March of the following year), gloves, hat, scarf etc.
please note all gifts should be new!

This will change someone's christmas!
