Everyone is entitled to refreshments... Apparently.

Beachgoers at the sands of Winterton-On-Sea, Norfolk, were shocked at the landing of an RAF rescue helicopter; only to discover the crew were simply craving an ice cream. Faces of worry turned to confusion as the pilots casually walked into Winterton Dunes Beach Cafe, before returning to the aircraft with three Magnum Classics and one White Chocolate Magnum.

The 'emergency landing' occurred during a training flight with a relatively inexperienced co-pilot. Search an rescue teams often have to land on beaches for these training purposes and, while popping into the shop to grab a delicious ice lolly is not the usual practice, there are no rules or regulations to stop the pilots doing so. The crew recived a wave from the croud as they set off into the skies once more.
