CCTV footage from a US store captured the shocking tale of a backfired prank, which ended with a young infant trapped inside a spinning tumble dryer for over a minute before being freed by a member of staff. The couple involved were loading a tumble dryer, however when the woman's back was turned the child was placed into the machine by the other partner. Little did he know that shutting the door would activate the auto-lock and begin the cycle.
Panicked, the couple furiously tugged at the door as the dryer began to pick up pace. The man rushed to get assistance, while the woman was left with the sight of her child whirling around inside the deathtrap. The power was turned off, and the couple retrieved the baby after the horrific and potentially fatal incident. According to sources, the video achieved over 26,000 hits on YouTube. Hopefully, this lucky escape will teach others not to be so hasty in putting your child in danger. Or indeed inside a tumble dryer.
