Olympic Torch Lit In Greek Ceremony

The Olympic Torch has been lit at the tradidtional ceremony in Olympia, Greece. By directing the sun onto a special mirror the flamewas alive. An actress playing a 'high priestess' had the honors. The lit torch will stay in Greece for a week before being flown to the UK on 18 May to begin the 70-day torch relay. It will only be put out at the closing ceremony.
