BBC School News Report Day

On Thurday the 15th of March 2012 loads of schools across Europe got the chance to plan and film their own mini BBC News (school style) for a day.
<--- A map of how many schools took part in this event.

When they had finished filming and they had put it all together, they would send it to the BBC so they can upload it to the BBC School Report Day website.

Basically on the day of Dinnington Comprehensive's BBC School Report Day, we headed straight to ME1 where we collected and wore our own BBC School Report badges and ID Cards. After, we started off by looking on the internet to see if there was any interesting news going on around the world. Then, we began to collect the news we had found, and we chose the ones that would be best to go in our short film. When we chose them we began to put that news into our own words.

After lunch, when we had all printed out our own news write ups, we all got together and put together a final script of what the 4 presenters were going to say. We had things like the headlines at the start of the film, and we had strange news like TOILET DESKS, and more serious news about how PEOPLE ARN'T ALOUD TO SHAKE HANDS AT THE OLYMPICS!

Near to the end of the day we finally began to film our end product, and overall it turned out GREAT! All the student journalists had a great time, a day not to be forgotten!

If you want to find out more about what happened on the day then why not head over to the BBC School Report Day website where you can watch what other schools like ourself made for the amazing day.
