Record Breaking Rollercoaster


Alton Towers has spent 18 million pounds on the world’s biggest roller coaster with the most loops!

The roller coaster is the size of 10 football pitches and it took 8 months to build. This one of a kind roller coaster will be open on the 23rd of May 2013 and they have called the ride at Alton Towers the Smiler. The maximum speed of this coaster is 85 kph (over 50 mph) and if you ride on it, it will take 165 seconds which is nearly 3 minutes!
