The London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony!

The Olympic Games is a major international event featuring summer and winter sports, in which thousands of athletes parcipitate in a variety of competitions. The Olympic Games are considered to be the world's foremost sports competition and more than 200 nations parcipitate. The Games are currently held biennially, with Summer and Winter Olympic Games alternating, meaning they occur every 4 years within their respective seasonal games.
We all know that the Olympics is starting within a click of our fingers! As today is the Olympics Opening Ceremony! How great is that!? The Olympics starting in London! I’m sure we are all looking forward to seeing what truly amazing athletes will be taking part in the Olympic Games! I know I can’t wait!
It doesn’t seem 2 minutes ago since Great Britain was granted the honor of holding the Olympics 2012 in London. And now starting within many hours will be the Olympic Games! It’s astounding!
The Torch Relay is making its way through the final areas of the UK, and eventually arriving at the Olympic Stadium where the cauldron will be lit to officially begin the Olympics 2012! There are just a few more places where the final few are gradually making their way down to the Olympic Stadium. They are: the South Bank, then down to the Tower Bridge and finally the Olympic Stadium where the eyes of the world will be watching! Why not take a look at where the Torch has recently travelled...

As I said before, I’m sure the eyes of the world will be watching the Opening Ceremony at London on the TV, or any other way they can. But if you are not sure where to watch the Opening Ceremony and at what time then read this: Tonight (Friday the 27th of July 2012) at 9pm on BBC 1 will be the Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony! Be sure NOT to miss it!
Do you have any “I can’t wait to see” thoughts? If you do, then why not post your comments below about the London 2012 Olympics! We would love to hear what you have to say!
